$26.00 - $29.00 / hr life insurance, sick time, 401(k), retirement plan United States, Virginia, Ashburn Apr 22, 2026 Data Center Operations & Inventory Technician Be the backbone of missioncritical infrastructure Are you detailoriented, handson, and energized by fastpaced environments? This role puts you at the center of data center operations, where accuracy, accountability, and problemsolving directly impact uptime and security. We're looking for a motivated professional to support inventory control, logistics, and operational execution inside a highvolume data center environment. If you enjoy owning your work, following precise processes, and keeping complex systems running smoothly-this role is for you. What You'll Do You'll play a key role in daily data center operations, handling physical assets and ensuring everything is tracked, staged, and processed correctly:

  • Execute assigned operational tasks independently during highvolume or escalationdriven situations

  • Identify issues early, use sound judgment, and escalate when necessary

  • Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming and outgoing deliveries, including purchase order (PO) receiving and rack movement activities

  • Maintain precise physical inventory tracking, staging, and documentation

  • Perform inventory cycle counts, audits, and data corrections

  • Support regulatory compliance and certification control audits within the data center

  • Manage material movement, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling according to standard processes

  • Securely destroy databearing devices (DBDs) by following approved procedures and runbooks

  • Ensure operational accuracy, security, and cleanliness across staging and storage areas Operational & Technical Responsibilities

  • Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance issues

  • Respond to system or program error messages by identifying causes and resolving issues or terminating processes when required

  • Support programmers and systems analysts during testing and debugging of new programs

  • Use Microsoft Excel and other software tools to load, manipulate, and report on operational data

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following environments:

  • Warehouse or supply chain operations

  • Inventory management

  • Retail operations

  • Data center or IT support environments

  • Previous experience working inside a data center environment

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
