We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees., This position is responsible for database architecture and modeling, database development, maintenance, and monitoring. This covers transactional databases and data warehouses as needed for business applications.

This position will provide support in transitioning from legacy system databases to new SQL and other cloud-based databases.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Development of database components and processes.

Design of database architecture, design of databases, specification of data elements, procedures, and processes.

Working with other IT staff to develop project requirements for databases

Monitoring database performance.

Provide user support

Other duties as assigned., * Principles and practices of database administration, including data communication protocols and topologies, and web- and windows-based software.

  • Database and web application domain-specific programming languages and tools.
  • Entity Relationship Modelling
  • Data warehouse and data marts
  • Data Flow Diagrams
  • Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Data backup and recovery processes.

Skill in:

  • Manage databases through all stages of the development life cycle and provide senior-level technical support in resolving database problems.
  • Using MS SQL systems for online analytical processing (OLAP) and data mining functionality for business intelligence applications.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems. Coordinate a variety of skilled technology services functions.
  • Assess user/stakeholder support needs and implement effective solutions. Establish a good working relationship with co-workers and clients.
  • Work individually and in a team environment. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Successful completion of 24 hours in computer science coursework or certification and three years experience designing/analyzing, coding, testing, debugging database programs or system software programming and analysis or four years experience designing/analyzing, coding, testing, debugging database programs or system software programming and analysis. Education may be substituted for experience as deemed relevant by the agency., BA in computer technology and 3 years of experience administering and maintaining SQL Server and MySQL production database environments., Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must pass a criminal history records check.
