Job description

Immediate need for a talented Infrastructure Engineer - Linux/Windows, Ansible. This is a 12 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Owings Mills, MD (Hybrid).   • Linux should be heavier then
  • Building CICD pipelines etc
  • Scription languages required: Ansible, bash, PowerShell, python
  • Someone coming from a different language they will be considered
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions and infrastructure tools with a focus on OS-agnostic systems design.
  • Automate system administration tasks using Ansible, PowerShell, shell scripting, and other tools.
  • Develop and integrate Python-based automation scripts and utilities to streamline infrastructure operations.
  • Design and implement robust API integrations to support scalable and secure system interactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Integrate and implement system software to meet client and business needs across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and post-implementation validation.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including specifications, test plans, and migration packages.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both new and legacy systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Split b/w- windows & Linux
  • 1 quarter Linux 3 quarter windows
  • Building golden images for windows servers
  • Automation for provisional virtual machines
  • Moving to AWS is a plus
  • Exp with AWS
  • Packer image built
  • Devops, Gitlab
  • System admin
  • Heavy on the automation, Devops, * Must have skills: infrastructure, Devops, Linux, Automation, Scripting, Windows.
  • Exp in infrastructure (windows Linux) & scripting
  • Devops with lot of automation exp, tool is ansible
  • Exp in AWS is a plus
  • Migration in AWS is a huge plus
  • Iac is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field AND 8 years of professional DevOps or software engineering experience.
  • Strong foundation in computer science principles including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
  • Proven experience in large systems software design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux (especially RHEL) and Windows environments.
  • Proficiency in Ansible for automation; PowerShell and shell scripting are essential.
  • Experience with Python for infrastructure automation and tooling.
  • Familiarity with the Red Hat ecosystem (e.g., Satellite, RHEL) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in large IT estates with formal change control and IT management processes.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Intune for enterprise device and identity management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in Agile teams.

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
