Job description

Chameleon Technologies is searching for an IT Technician for a 3-6 month contract role onsite in Bothell, WA with the potential to extend. This person will provide tier 1 customer service for a wide variety of technology and technical support., * Acts as first line customer support. Performs initial customer contact, clarifies requests and provides tier 1 assistance. Ensures that user requests are effectively resolved either directly or by escalation to the appropriate technical staff. Provides technical support, and troubleshooting with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Develop and manages client relationships.

  • Research and monitors new technology. Develops, maintains and distributes ongoing training and user documentation. Provides instructions to new and existing employees on features, capabilities, and policies. Serves as a backup to other technicians as needed and provides peer cross training.
  • Ensures the safety and security of data through best practice, leadership, collaboration and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Coordinates and performs the installation, upgrading, replacement, and detailed asset inventory of technologies including but not limited to desktops, laptops, telephony, mobile technologies, workstation software and related peripherals.
  • Supports the deployment, integration, configuration and ongoing support and maintenance of all desktop security-related solutions and end pointe protection.
  • Responsible for daily use, monitoring and enhancement of these solutions in accordance with the security standards of the organization.
  • Researches, procures and maintains relevant technology. Facilitates appropriate asset replacements of technology and ensures lifecycle management of city hardware, software and printing.
  • Maintains Operations based systems including but not limited to workstation management, phone system and voicemail.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, Associate's Degree in Computer Science is preferred
  • Two (2) years of computer support experience, * Experience with Information systems methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Capabilities with computer systems, including networked environments, peripheral devices, and web technologies.
  • Understand technical support principles, processes, and standards.
  • Experience with MS Office computer applications and operating systems.
  • Ability to assess customer support needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Using basic tools, equipment, and procedures for repairing computers and peripheral devices.
  • Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer software, hardware, and peripherals in a multiple operating system environment.
  • Providing technical support, documentation and training to departments and personnel.
  • Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
  • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing., * A valid Washington State Driver's License is required. Successful completion of a criminal record check is required.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: $30 - $37 per hour
