Cisco Network Engineer

Vaco is hiring a Cisco Network Engineer for a client supporting regulated, on-premise operational technology (OT) environments. This role is strictly focused on network engineering and security, with no responsibilities related to systems or operating systems. We are seeking a hands-on engineer with deep Cisco expertise who can support, maintain, and secure critical network infrastructure in a compliance-driven setting., * Support and maintain on-premise data center network infrastructure

• Configure, manage, and optimize Cisco network environments, including:

• Firewalls (FTD / FMC)
• Switching infrastructure

• Implement and support core networking technologies such as:

• VLANs
• LACP

• Troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues across environments
• Ensure secure and compliant network operations within a regulated infrastructure
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain network performance, stability, and security

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, particularly FTD and FMC
• Proven experience configuring and managing VLANs and LACP
• Solid understanding of network engineering principles and best practices
• Experience supporting on-premise infrastructure in regulated or secure environments
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently
