Job description
- Estimate work to deliver stories and requirements through the lifecycle.
- Design and develop solutions using multiple architectural components to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with development teams to validate data requirements and ensure accurate implementation of data architecture.
- Assemble large, complex data sets meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
- Build processes for data transformation, data structures, metadata, quality controls, dependencies, and workload management.
- Document and communicate information needed for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
- Adhere to delivery and release processes for code deployment and releases.
- Identify gaps in data management standards and partner with stakeholders to close them.
- Lead concept and experimentation testing and synthesize results to improve analytical solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators and internal controls to maintain platform stability.
- Mentor junior engineers and coach on CI/CD practices and automation.
- Serve as a liaison between technology and business teams.
Requirements
We are seeking a Database Administrator III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle databases and NoSQL (Cassandra) and a proven ability to stabilize platform operations, diagnose issues, and deliver reliable data solutions. This role operates on a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days onsite starting day one. Target start date is June. Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future., * 5+ years of experience in database engineering or administration.
- Strong Oracle database administration and engineering skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and tuning SQL performance issues.
- Hands-on experience with Cassandra, CQL, and DataStax tools with solid understanding of core Cassandra concepts and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication.
- Knowledge of IBM DataStage preferred; Autosys experience a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile and SDLC delivery models and data management best practices.
- Basic project management capabilities and strong documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and learning mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in Agile teams and CI/CD pipelines.
- NDM (ConnectDirect) and OpenSSH familiarity.
