Job description

The PeopleSoft HCM Administrator is responsible for the configuration, administration, and ongoing support of the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role focuses on Absence Management and Time and Labor modules, ensuring system functionality aligns with organizational policies and business processes. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in PeopleSoft environments, combined with analytical skills to design, configure, and optimize system performance., PeopleSoft System Administration

  • Administer and maintain the PeopleSoft HCM system (version 9.1 or higher)
  • Configure system components to support HR, payroll, and workforce management functions.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements
  • Design and configure absence frameworks, including absence calendars, entitlements and accruals, eligibility rules, etc.
  • Ensure absence policies are accurately reflected within the system and aligned with organizational guidelines
  • Configure Time and Labor modules, including workgroups and task groups, time reporting codes, processing and rule programs
  • Establish and maintain rules to ensure time is captured, processed, and reported in accordance with organizational business processes
  • Support time collection, validation, and integration with payroll
  • Perform systems analysis, design, and programming within a web-based application environment
  • Develop, test, and deploy system enhancements, fixes, and updates
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of HR and time-related data within the system
  • Generate reports and support audits related to absence and time tracking
  • Provide technical support and guidance to HR, payroll, and operational teams
  • Develop documentation and training materials for system users
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and implementations
  • Identify system issues and recommend improvements or automation opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management (required)
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in systems analysis and programming in a web application environment or similar work supporting applications within the PeopleSoft environment
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft tools such as Application Designer, PeopleCode, and Process Scheduler
  • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM version 9.1 or higher
  • Strong expertise in Absence Management (frameworks, calendars, entitlements) and Time and Labor modules (workgroups, task groups, processing rules)
  • Understanding of HR and payroll business processes
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and integrations
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, or data analytics platforms
  • Experience in public sector or large enterprise environments
