Job description
We're seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data systems that power critical business insights and operational workflows. This role plays a key part in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization, including supporting high-impact processes such as complaints tracking and resolution. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure reliable, efficient, and well-designed data infrastructure that supports our client's mission to improve access to care., * Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows to support analytics and operational use cases

Develop and optimize data models and warehouse structures to enable efficient reporting and insights

Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Compliance, Product, BI) to translate business requirements into data solutions, including support for complaints and regulatory processes

Improve and maintain data quality, integrity, and governance standards across systems

Optimize query performance, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure for scalability and efficiency

Contribute to system design discussions, ensuring data architecture supports long-term business needs and growth

Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, ensuring reliability and accuracy of datasets used across the organization
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles

Experience with Python

Hands-on experience with data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing

Experience with analytics datastores such as Redshift (preferred), Snowflake, SQL Server, etc.

Experience working with Cloud warehousing solutions such as AWS Glue (preferred), Azure Data Factor, GCP BigQuery, etc.

Experience with BI and reporting tools such as QuickSight (preferred), Tableau, or PowerBI.

Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)

Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications

Strong understanding of system design and data architecture principles

Experience supporting operational workflows or compliance-driven processes (e.g., complaints, claims, or regulatory reporting)

Experience working with multiple database platforms and very large-scale datasets

Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
