Job description
job summary: An Application Engineer is needed for a leading cooling technology company. The Application Engineer is responsible for the design and technical oversight of large-scale data center cooling solutions, including advanced liquid cooling and high-efficiency air systems. You will bridge the gap between complex customer requirements and optimized thermal configurations for modern digital infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in the pre-sales process, ensuring that our chillers, CDUs, and liquid-rack systems are perfectly tailored to meet the critical cooling demands of our clients.
Qualified candidates must hold an Engineering degree and possess at least two years of experience within a data center or commercial HVAC manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAD software and data center modeling tools is required, along with a deep understanding of both liquid and air-handling technologies. This can be remote plus 10-20% travel or relocation assistance can be provided for candidates willing to relocate to Greenville SC. location: GREER, SOUTH CAROLINA job type: Permanent salary: $114,999.98 - 135,000.00 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors
responsibilities:
- Configure and design comprehensive solutions, including CDUs, Fan-Walls, and Liquid Rack systems, to meet specific client needs
- Oversee site evaluations and develop detailed technical proposals, system drawings, and specifications
- Collaborate with sales teams to deliver high-impact presentations that articulate the benefits of our proprietary technologies
- Conduct on-site facility tours and assessments (10-20% travel) to ensure precise system sizing for mission-critical environments
- Assist in creating essential sales resources such as white papers, application notes, and technical specifications
- Stay current on emerging trends to maintain a competitive edge in liquid cooling and edge computing innovation
