Job description
Working in conjunction with the IT Department Staff, the Summer IT Support Technician(s) will complete high-priority tasks such as installing new equipment, servicing staff and student laptops, and completing infrastructure projects., The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as an illustration of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position., * Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, projectors, and other classroom technologies.
- Respond to help desk tickets, emails, or in-person requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Document issues and solutions in the help desk tracking system.
- Collaborate with the IT team on ongoing projects and technology rollouts.
- Install and terminate a Cat6 Ethernet cable
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated experience with basic computer troubleshooting (hardware/software).
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Chrome OS environments.
ABILITY, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Prior experience in a help desk, IT support, or educational technology environment.
- Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or similar are a plus.
- Familiarity with educational software and systems (Google Workspace for Education, learning management systems, etc.).
Benefits & conditions
Up to 40 hours per week (Summer 2026), $25.00/hr.
