Job description
- Receive, inspect, and log inbound shipments of IT equipment and supplies.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
- Maintain real-time inventory records using Excel and internal systems.
- Track asset movements and status updates in asset tracking tools and customer portals.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure data integrity and stock accuracy.
- Stage and prepare IT assets for deployment, shipment, or storage.
- Assist in triaging returned or damaged equipment and determine disposition (e.g., repair, reuse, recycle).
- Support e-waste handling and donation logistics as required.
- Coordinate with internal teams on equipment needs, delivery schedules, and inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor and manage warehouse tasks using ticketing systems or task trackers (e.g., GSD).
- Provide support for desk moves, new hire kit deployments, and on-site asset handoffs when required.
- Operate pallet jacks or other equipment safely to move goods within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with safety standards.
Requirements
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Asset Technician to support our warehousing and asset lifecycle operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the receipt, tracking, movement, and maintenance of IT hardware assets within the warehouse. You will ensure accurate inventory control, assist with shipments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill asset-related tasks in a timely and professional manner.
This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes, basic technical skills related to IT hardware, and a high level of organization to maintain inventory accuracy and service quality., * Experience in logistics, warehousing, shipping/receiving, or inventory control.
- Familiarity with IT hardware (laptops, monitors, peripherals, etc.).
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs.) safely.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Professional demeanor and customer service mindset.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Experience using inventory management or asset tracking systems.
- Previous work experience in a tech or IT logistics environment.
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow, Zendesk, or equivalent ticketing systems.
- Understanding of e-waste handling and compliance practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
