Job description

The Data Center Solutions Business Unit at Microchip designs enterprise-class storage solutions for leading enterprises and data centers worldwide. Our products leverage modern technologies such as RAID, Security, PCIe, NVMe, SAS, SATA, SDRAM, and NAND.

What will you do in this position? In this role, reporting to the Manager Engineering Services, you will be part of the Customer Tools Team within the Applications Engineering Group of Data Center Solutions. As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Java/Kotlin-based desktop applications. You will work on a Java-based, multi-platform GUI tool that enables customers to configure, manage, and analyze enterprise storage solutions. Your responsibilities include implementing new features, maintaining existing functionality, performing unit and integration testing, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, and creating and maintaining technical documentation and user manuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, with 5 - 7.5 years of relevant experience.
  • Fluent English
  • Excellent communication skills, team orientated, analytical, open minded und problem solving oriented
  • 5 years experience with Desktop Java development is preferred
  • Integration/usage of hardware stack (PCIe, CXL, SATA, TCP/IP) APIs

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $205,000.*
