Job description
The Test Lead is responsible for overseeing all functional and in-process testing activities within the production environment. This role ensures that test procedures are accurate, repeatable, and aligned with customer and quality requirements. The Test Lead also serves as the primary technical resource for diagnosing and resolving test failures, supporting production throughput, and maintaining high product quality standards., * Supervise and support test operators and test technicians in daily production activities

Develop, document, and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and test criteria

Ensure all test procedures are reviewed regularly and updated for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance

Diagnose and troubleshoot test failures to the component level

Perform repair and rework on failed assemblies as needed

Communicate test results, trends, and failure analysis findings to Production, Quality, and Engineering teams

Monitor test queue/backlog and drive actions to maintain production flow and on-time delivery

Identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions in coordination with Quality and Engineering

Assist in development and improvement of test fixtures, processes, and automation where applicable
-
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer-specific requirements

Support training and development of test personnel

Maintain accurate records of test results, repairs, and failure data

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across production and test operations

Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of electronic test equipment, including:
o Digital Multimeters (DMM)
o Oscilloscopes
o Variable power supplies

Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
-
Proven ability to troubleshoot electronic assemblies down to the component level

Proficiency with computers and Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workstreams in a production environment, * Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an electronics manufacturing environment

Experience with PCB assembly (SMT and through-hole) and box build systems

Familiarity with IPC standards such as IPC (e.g., IPC-A-610)

Experience with test fixture development or automated test systems

Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action processes

Requires hands-on work with electronic assemblies and test equipment

May require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting
