Job description
- Highly technical role providing pre/post-sales Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support of Juniper products within the customer infrastructure.
- The candidate must have a detailed understanding of protocols used for IP service provider networks. Protocol examples: BGP, ISIS, EVPN, MPLS
- Juniper products to be supported: MX, ACX, Paragon Automation, Apstra, Paragon Active Assurance.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Provides technical knowledge and analysis, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on exceptionally complex problems that need extensive knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
- Primary responsibilities are to assist customer network architect with integration and development of the automated WAN solution levering the Paragon Automation suite, low-code automation products, as well as to assist in the definition and creation of automated workflows.
- Builds application programming interface (API) calls from ServiceNow to Juniper.
- Contributes to project meetings to report status, issues, and risks.
- Participates, as needed, in all phases of development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and presentation phases.
- Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order or project requirements.
- Uses advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions.
- Assess and document current site network configuration and user requirements.
- Certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, a plus
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience desired
- Bachelors Degree a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively work independently and function in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work calmly under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize work activity to achieve customer and account team goals.
- Expert level relationship management, communications skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively work with customer engineers and JTAC to resolve hardware and software issues and implement solutions.
- Ability to effectively communicate case status updates and deliver root cause analysis.
- Support informal and formal technology briefings and training sessions.
