Cloud Migration Project Manager

A major healthcare provider in Pennsylvania is seeking three Project Managers for a 6 month migration initiative, with potential extensions. The organization is migrating 850+ application servers from six on premise data centers into the Azure Cloud, and each Project Manager will oversee a specific domain while coordinating multiple migration waves. In this role, the Project Managers will lead medium to large scale IT infrastructure efforts, including cloud migrations, data center relocations, and application rehosting. Responsibilities include developing project plans, managing milestones, creating runbooks, supporting wave planning, and overseeing cutover and post migration activities. The Project Managers will track complex technical dependencies, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate cloud migration progress to leadership. Strong governance oversight is essential, including RAID management, change control, and coordination with vendors and third party migration partners.

8-10+ years of experience managing medium to large scale IT infrastructure projects, including on prem to cloud migrations (Azure preferred)

• Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies, including lift and shift, cutover planning, and migration support (execution performed by vendors)

• Proven ability to create detailed project plans, cutover schedules, and comprehensive migration runbooks, including hour by hour execution steps

• Excellent stakeholder/ vendor management and communication skills across technical and business teams

• Strong project governance capabilities, including RAID management, issue tracking, risk and information management, change control, and escalation

• Proficiency with enterprise project tracking tools (MS Project and ServiceNow preferred)
