Your contributions can help clients improve financial performance, accelerate new digital ventures, and fuel growth through innovation., As a Consultant - Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer, you will bring an analytical, and delivery-focused mindset to configure and extend Guidewire PolicyCenter to support P&C insurance product and underwriting needs. You will work closely with client stakeholders and Deloitte delivery teams to help translate business requirements into PolicyCenter configuration and technical design, including product model updates, rules and workflows, and Gosu-based extensions. You will collaborate with teams supporting integrations, data, and adjacent Guidewire components as needed to deliver quality solutions. You will continue to build your PolicyCenter knowledge, remain open to coaching and feedback, and contribute to the success of the team through strong execution, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree

3+ years consulting and/or relevant insurance industry experience (P&C, Life & Annuity/Group, Commercial, Specialty)

3+ years implementing insurance core platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami or similar)

3yrs full lifecycle large-scale implementations (PolicyCenter, Billing, and/or Claims systems)

2 yrs of experience working in one of the following sub service areas: Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration or Distribution

1 year experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations

Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred skills

Advanced degree in area of technical specialization

CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification

Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification

1 year experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration

Experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology

A strong Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX background

Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools, Business rules integration

Experience with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache ServiceMix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule etc.

Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.)

Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,400 - $155,400.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
