The Audit Quality Systems Engineer supports the quality assurance function by coordinating torque release activities for new and current vehicle types, managing torque-related data and analysis, and driving continuous improvement in torque processes. This role works closely with production planning, engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure robust torque control, accurate documentation, and effective implementation of engineering and process changes., * Coordinate with production planning and other departments to gather and input all necessary information into the current system for torque release of new type and current vehicles.
- Coordinate data collection activities, perform statistical analysis of torque data, and submit findings for review and approval.
- Support floor investigations to determine root cause of torque-related issues and contribute to corrective and preventive actions.
- Attend Engineering Change Control (ECC) meetings and determine the impact of proposed engineering and process changes on torque processes.
- Plan and coordinate torque release studies as needed in response to engineering or process changes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on the department network drive related to torque process release, investigations, and communications.
- Train on torque data collection equipment and become fully knowledgeable in its operation and application.
- Train on torque data collection software and become proficient in using it for data capture, analysis, and reporting.
- Maintain torque-related reports in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring information is current and reliable.
- Coordinate report updates and data sharing with other members of the torque team to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills in a cross-functional team environment to resolve torque and quality issues.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, proactively driving them to completion with a high level of accountability.
- Effectively communicate findings, status updates, and recommendations to team members and stakeholders.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and apply independent time management to meet deadlines and support production needs., This role operates within a quality assurance department in an automotive manufacturing environment. The Audit Quality Systems Engineer works closely with production, planning, and engineering teams on the shop floor and in office settings, using torque tools, torque data collection equipment, and torque data collection software as part of daily activities. The position requires regular use of Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office applications for documentation, analysis, and reporting. Work hours may include night or split shifts and weekends, depending on production and quality needs. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, with a strong focus on precision, data accuracy, and adherence to established quality systems and processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-5 years of torque engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with torque tools and torque engineering processes.
- Strong understanding of quality systems and their application in a production environment.
- Very strong problem-solving skills in a cross-functional team environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to excel and take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
- Operating systems and software knowledge including Windows.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time independently.
- Flexibility to work night or split shifts and weekends as required to support production and quality activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with quality systems and methodologies such as VDA.
- Knowledge of engineering change processes and engineering change control (ECC).
- Experience in planning and coordinating torque-related activities and studies.
- General engineering background related to torque engineering and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with Mercedes-Benz production systems, including Produktionsleit- und -system (PLUS), is preferred.
- Experience with Manufacturing Reporting Systems (MRS) is preferred.
- General project management knowledge is an advantage.
- Additional torque experience beyond the minimum requirement is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate in German is preferred and considered an asset.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
