Job description
You will be responsible for the administration, stability, performance, and scalability of enterprise Tableau environments across on-prem and cloud platforms. This role partners closely with analytics, data engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver a reliable, secure, and high-performing data visualization platform for business users., * Administer and support Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management
- Utilize native command-line utilities (TSM, Tabcmd), Advanced Management tools (Resource Monitoring Tool, Content Migration Tool), and API-driven solutions to operate and automate the platform
- Manage platform security and connectivity, including firewalls, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and authentication integrations (AD, SAML, Kerberos)
- Monitor server health, performance, and capacity using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Moogsoft, DxNetOps, SiteScope
- Administer users, groups, sites, projects, and permissions, including enforcing and locking project-level permissions
- Troubleshoot incidents and performance issues involving backgrounder processes, extract refreshes, authentication, and system logs
- Execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning, including routine validation and testing of recovery procedures
- Support operations through Windows Server administration, incident response, ticketing systems, documentation, and runbook maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering supporting Tableau and Cognos platforms
- 2+ years of experience with system design and implementation within Linux and Windows server environments
- 2+ years of experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- 2+ years of experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting languages (Python, Powershell)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Industry certifications such as Tableau Desktop and/or Tableau Server
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes

Travel:

Salary Range
$90,000.00 - $144,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
