Job description

Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Engineer., * End to end software development including program design, estimation, development, debugging, unit testing, and documentation across applications, systems, databases, and web platforms

  • Design scalable, enterprise level solutions that support current and future business needs
  • Leads or contributes to the technical design of complex features aligned with architectural standards and long term maintainability
  • Contributes to system modernization efforts, including decomposition of monolithic applications into microservices and API first architectures
  • Designs and implements event driven solutions leveraging Azure messaging services such as Service Bus and Event Grid
  • Applies modern engineering practices including clean architecture, test driven development, and automated testing
  • Defines testing strategies and oversees execution of comprehensive test plans, including stress and load testing
  • Reviews application code and ensures compliance with development, architecture, and security standards
  • Implements observability, monitoring, and proactive alerting using logging and tracing best practices
  • Provides ongoing maintenance for applications, systems, databases, and websites
  • Delivers third level production support, including on call coverage, and serves as escalation point for complex issues
  • Troubleshoots and resolves high impact production issues through to resolution
  • Partners with leadership and architecture to identify system improvements, modernization opportunities, and technical debt reduction
  • Mentors developers, promotes knowledge sharing, and supports team skill development
  • Participates in code reviews and helps establish and reinforce development standards
  • Supports evaluation and selection of new tools, frameworks, and vendor software
  • Follows secure coding standards and addresses security scan findings

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Microsoft technology stack, including: .NET / C# (Core and/or Framework); Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, Event Grid, etc.)
  • Experience designing and building scalable, cloud-based applications and APIs
  • Experience working with or migrating from monolithic architectures to microservices
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging patterns
  • Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) concepts and layered architecture
  • Experience with modern front-end technologies such as TypeScript, Angular, and/or React
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Proficiency with GitHub, version control, and modern development workflows
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Hands-on experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience implementing observability practices (logging, monitoring, tracing)
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices
  • Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical direction
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
