Mainframe Database Security Administrator - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Mainframe Database Security Administrator for a hybrid position (minimum 3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity., This position supports a large-scale mainframe database environment running DB2 and IMS in a z/OS parallel SYSPLEX environment. The role focuses on the setup and maintenance of DBA access, resource protection using RACF Security Manager, and ensuring compliance with security policies and standards. The successful candidate will work closely with database system support teams, participate in an on-call rotation, and must be proficient with JCL and REXX scripting., * Support the setup and maintenance of DBA access and protect all DBA-owned resources

• Maintain controls to monitor compliance with security-related requirements, policies, and standards
• Work closely with database system support teams to plan and execute security controls
• Perform regular evidence collection and provide input to security governance forums
• Interface with application developers, infrastructure support teams, and management staff
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and provide off-hours support as necessary

• Technical background in the z/OS mainframe arena
• Working knowledge of DB2 and IMS for z/OS
• Expert knowledge of DB2 utilities, related tools, and RACF Security Manager
• Strong programming and scripting skills (REXX, SQL, JCL)
• Proficient in the use of JCL and IBM utilities
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication skills, both written and oral

Desired skills:

• Hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting
• Experience with other programming/scripting languages (Java, .Net, Python, Shell script, etc)
