- Lead the design and hands-on development of robust software solutions for full-stack enterprise applications and user-facing interfaces on custom/embedded hardware.
- Contribute across all layers of the software stack, from database interactions and backend services to front-end GUI frameworks.
- Enhance, maintain, and modernize existing complex software systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and foster the adoption of new software technologies and best practices within the team.
- Develop comprehensive software designs, provide accurate effort estimates, and create realistic schedules for program and project management.
- Drive the development of critical software components to ensure program deadlines and mission objectives are met.
- Champion and enforce rigorous software engineering best practices, including coding standards, thorough code reviews, robust testing methodologies, and effective use of revision control and build processes.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Requirements
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Software Engineer (Sr. SWE) to join our rapidly expanding team in Reston, Virginia. This is a critical role that offers the opportunity to develop diverse software solutions, ranging from full-stack enterprise applications to user-facing software on embedded and custom hardware devices. You will be instrumental in solving complex technical challenges across the software stack, including middleware development, code porting and refactoring, performance optimization, cryptographic system integration, and designing robust software architectures. This role demands a high degree of technical expertise, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments with tight timelines and resource constraints., * 10 + years of experience in full-stack software development .
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex software architectures.
- Proven ability to quickly understand, navigate, and contribute to complex systems and established codebases.
- Experience establishing and championing code quality guidelines and team quality control practices (e.g., code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration).
- Experience working in constrained development environments, including air-gapped systems.
- Ability to interpret and implement complex certification and compliance requirements.
- Deep commitment to producing high-quality, secure, maintainable, well-tested, and well-documented code.
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph., * Master's degree (M.S.) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex algorithms and data structures.
- 3+ years of experience building secure communications systems and/or integrating/migrating cryptographic systems.
- Strong focus on cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
- Experience with specific technologies relevant to full-stack web applications (e.g., particular frameworks, cloud platforms, containerization).

$191,000 - $253,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
