Job description
Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Infrastructure Technical Project Manager for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Investment Banking clients in New York, NY., * Drive end-to-end execution of projects/programs consisting of multiple infrastructure workstreams.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, actions, and dependencies, coordinate mitigation, and resolution across teams.
- Develop detailed delivery plans, project documentation, and status reporting (including dashboards and executive summaries).
- Coordinate across local, regional, and global initiatives with virtual and matrix-managed teams.
- Facilitate project governance and working sessions; track and publish actions, plans, risks, and issues.
- Build and maintain integrated project plans in partnership with multiple technical delivery teams.
- Develop and execute migration and cutover plans (including rehearsal, rollback, and service validation).
- Ensure adherence to project lifecycle, quality controls, and policy/standards requirements.
- Create and deliver executive-level communications at the project and program level.
- Own senior stakeholder management, communications, and timely escalation of key decisions and blockers.
- Track, monitor, and report a large set of risks and remediation plans across infrastructure workstreams.
- Lead planning and execution for data center and application migrations, including dependency coordination and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Project management experience delivering IT infrastructure initiatives using Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid methodologies.
- Strong understanding of (and ability to work across) end-user technology, compute/server platforms, networking (voice and data), cloud, data centers, and application/Infra technologies.
- Hands-on technical depth in one or more of the areas listed above.
- Merger and technology integration experience.
- Excellent written communication, documentation, and status reporting skills.
- Ability to indirectly manage virtual team members across diverse cultures and locations.
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects concurrently.
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project), AI tools, BI tools
- Ability to define, develop, and track delivery metrics and outcomes.
- Proactive and positive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Sound background in adhering to business processes and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work independently; self-motivated with a strong team orientation.
Preferred Skills:
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile certifications, or equivalent recognized professional standards).
- Financial industry experience, preferably Tier 1 investment banking experience.
