Job description

Leidos was awarded the U.S. Air Force Cloud One Architecture and Common Shared Services contract and currently has an opening for a Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering Manager. This position focuses on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineering and Support and will coordinate across multiple areas as the program supports AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle clouds. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to modernize a leading, global-scale multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission, supporting USAF system resiliency, security, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, or enterprise IT, or a Master's with 10+ years of applicable experience.\n
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.\n
  • US citizenship required.\n
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT-2)\n
  • Strong understanding Active Directory, Azure AD, SAML and the standards, procedures, and processes.\n
  • Experience with Ansible, Oracle console, Jira, Confluence, GitLab and GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and multiple OCI cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings.\n
  • Experience administering Windows and Linux Servers, and related services.\n
  • Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in a customer-facing position.\n
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.\n, * Experience with USAF Cloud One or Platform 1.\n
  • Experience with Zero Trust Architecture.\n
  • 4+ years of prior experience managing/leading teams/projects.\n

A successful individual will be responsible for designing scalable cloud-native solutions, leading development efforts, and ensuring best practices across architecture, development, deployment, and security. This is a combination management and hands-on technical role that requires rolling up your sleeves to architect, code, debug, and mentor. \n \n \nPrimary Responsibilities:\n \n \n

  • Include: Design and architect scalable, and resilient Oracle Cloud infrastructure solutions and shared services that comply with applicable industry standards (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.) and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, DOD CC SRG).\n
  • Develop cloud strategy and roadmaps aligned with organization objectives and technical requirements.\n
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and assess their potential impact on organizational goals.\n
  • Use and drive adoption of DevSecOps practices and related automation such as GitLab pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and automated testing.\n
  • Optimize performance and reliability of the OCI Cloud One environment and shared services.\n
  • Implement / integrate with identity and access management solutions, security monitoring frameworks, and other multi-cloud common services.\n
  • Support customer onboarding and implement a consistent pathway to cloud adoption.\n
  • Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems.\n
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation to support development and operational processes.\n
  • Support security assessments and remediate vulnerabilities in cloud environments.\n
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other Cloud One environment teams, development, operations, security, and product management.\n
  • Create reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards for cloud implementations.\n
  • Technical Leadership:\n
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.\n
  • Present architectural designs and recommendations to executive leadership.\n
  • Mentor, guide and supervise development teams of up to 10 engineers and technical specialists on cloud-native application design and deployment.\n
  • Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on complex technical decisions.\n
