Job description
- Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technology leaders to identify AI-enabled and emerging-technology opportunities aligned to business goals and strategic objectives.
- Define and maintain the enterprise AI and emerging technology vision, principles, roadmap, and three-to-five-year target state.
- Establish portfolio-level direction, prioritization frameworks, and value-tracking mechanisms for AI and emerging technology initiatives.
- Ensure initiatives are clearly positioned, scoped, and architecturally aligned to enable effective delivery by execution teams.
- Review proposed solution approaches for alignment with enterprise architecture, data strategy, security requirements, and long-term technology direction, without owning build or delivery execution.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures, standards, patterns, and guidance that inform consistent and scalable adoption.
- Identify gaps between current capabilities and the target architecture, and define transition strategies, sequencing guidance, and risk considerations to support delivery teams.
- Assess technologies in the context of organizational readiness, scalability, security, regulatory considerations, and cost.
- Define evaluation criteria and decision outcomes (e.g., observe, pilot, adopt, or defer) and guide proof-of-concept efforts in partnership with delivery and platform teams.
- Provide strategic guidance on build-versus-buy considerations and vendor capabilities as technologies progress from experimentation toward enterprise adoption.
- Establish and lead governance practices for AI and emerging technologies, including policy development, ethical use guidelines, regulatory alignment, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure architectural guardrails, standards, and decision forums are in place to support consistent and compliant adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, analytics, engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology leadership, AI, data, or digital strategy roles, including people management responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience working with enterprise architecture, governance models, and senior technology leadership.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills., * Experience with responsible AI frameworks and technology governance standards (e.g., NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001).
- Experience evaluating, governing, and guiding adoption of emerging technologies in an enterprise environment.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a non-delivery leadership role that partners closely with execution teams.
- Innovative, systems-level thinking with the ability to balance near-term needs and long-term strategy.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, data platforms, automation technologies, and modern AI/ML development practices.
This is a hybrid remote position. A reasonable driving commute (1-2 hours) of the New Bremen, OH location is necessary. Relocation assistance is available.
