Job description

  • Serving as a technical expert within the Sales team, enhancing customer engagements with technical knowledge and project management skills.
  • Developing and delivering comprehensive technical solutions for customers, leveraging a deep understanding of HID Global's hardware, software, and services, while overseeing project lifecycles to ensure successful delivery.
  • Preparing detailed proposal documentation for large and complex projects, focusing on system integration, project management, and customer value maximization.
  • Interpreting complex customer requirements in collaboration with regional sales, product managers, and systems teams to devise effective solutions, managing project timelines and deliverables.
  • Providing essential technical information for quotes, tenders, and information requests, facilitating the sales process.
  • Architecting, validating, and documenting leading biometric solutions in partnership with Product Management, Services, and Engineering teams, managing projects to meet customer expectations.
  • Acting as HID Global's pre- and post-sales technical liaison, providing consultative support to Sales, Partners, and Customers, and ensuring effective technical communication and handoff across project phases (handoff to post-sales support teams).
  • Engaging in professional and technical development activities to stay at the forefront of technology trends and project management best practices.
  • Liaising with Product Management and Engineering teams to tailor solutions that meet specific customer requirements, ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Representing HID Global's technical capabilities at trade shows, road shows and internal meetings, responsible for presentations and demonstrations
  • Collaborating with a broader team of skilled presales and solutions engineers on a weekly basis, assisting each other in processes, solutioning, and projects
  • Collaborating and supporting regional sales managers as they travel and interact with clients - leading product technology demonstrations and driving technical discovery and alignment
  • Focusing on commercial biometric solutions that demonstrate HID's unique ability to sole-source the identity trust and verification (passenger verification solutions through HID document reading hardware coupled with biometric verification technologies)
  • Attending technology tradeshows (both US and occasionally international), supporting technical demonstrations to showcase HID solutions.
  • Consistently relaying market trends and new feature requirements to Product Management

Approximately 30% travel annually, based on business needs

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated professional who excels at driving sales engagements by effectively aligning customer business drivers-such as security, throughput, compliance, and passenger experience-with HID Global's biometric solutions. Strong technical and business acumen are essential to articulate, design, and support complex facebased identity solutions for both existing and prospective customers, while ensuring seamless execution from initial concept through deployment. This role operates as a key technical contributor within the Sales organization, supporting customer engagements across the full lifecycle of biometric solution adoption., * Bachelor's degree in related fields of computer information systems is required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on Requirements Analysis and Software Requirements gathering (in either a Presales role or professional services role).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on server / client solution architecture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to creatively engineer solutions to solve customer problems, with a strong problem-solving aptitude focused on selling to customer needs.
  • Deep product knowledge and understanding of the Product Development lifecycle.
  • Excellent presentation skills and understanding of enterprise computer networking standards
  • English fluent language
  • Solid technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux Server platforms, including practical understanding of Networking architectures and protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, SMTP, HTTPS).
  • Proven experience with computer language or scripting technologies (as required for creating or modifying existing demo solutions for customer-facing demos or tradeshows)
  • Proven use of a software development platform or compiler (having used tools such as Android Studio, Visual Studio or equivalent for compiling code)
  • Proven experience in a technical lead role whereby individual took responsibility for configuring and testing internal solutions or product for a server/client architecture.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, working independently and capable of learning new concepts on one's own.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At HID, it is uncommon for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. Final compensation decisions depend on the specific facts and circumstances of each case.

The base salary in the United States is $100,000 to $115,000.
