Node.JS & Java Engineer - REMOTE

As Senior NodeJS Software Engineer, you will use your experience to build resilient and scalable APIs for our customers using the latest cloud technologies and development methodologies.

You be part of a team responsible of API creation from discovery through design and development and its production maintenance. You will also maintain a user centric and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice.

In this position you will partner and collaborate with the Engineering manager, Architects, Quality assurance, Business partners, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, and Project managers to effectively translate the business requirements into a solution and engineering components.

You will also work closely with Product Management, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Architecture to delivery highly reliable and performant products that drive business value.

You will collaborate across a cross-functional development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, propose design patterns, and ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions.

You will also be involved throughout the entire development life cycle of a product and must be able to deliver an efficient solution, as well as identify and properly mitigate any risks to the product before deployment to production.

You will write code, develop software components, and implement complex functionalities according to product requirements.

Leverage advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency.

Integrate various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution.

Write and execute comprehensive test cases, conduct code reviews, perform debugging, and troubleshoot issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of digital solutions.

Participate in SAFe agile or other development methodologies, attend meetings, contribute to project planning, and help drive the progress and success of digital projects.

Explore new tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve digital solutions and drive innovation within the development team.

Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams, code documentation, and other relevant documentation while sharing their knowledge and expertise with team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and collaboration.

7+ years of professional software development experience.

• 3+ years of NodeJS and Java development with TypeScript or Javascript

• 3+ years of Cloud Experience; preferably with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• 2+ years of experience with domain driven design (DDD) and microservice architectures

• 2+ years of experience designing architectural solutions based off product requirements and considerations for both server and client needs

• Strong experience with monitoring and observability and building scalable services

• Understanding of various database solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing GraphQL APIs

• Exposure to product/services development, cloud-based platforms is highly preferred (i.e. Azure, GCP, AWS)

• Experience with queues, websockets, malware scanners, messaging & chat architectures, and form submissions

• Experience with building AI solutions & tracking model and feature performance, used to derive next steps in a feature's lifecycle or opportunities for optimization

• Understanding of common security vulnerabilities, to industry standards, and experience anticipating and addressing security concerns in solutions and code

• Excellent verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills

• Experience creating solid documentation to capture solutions for implementation and historical reference
