Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a IT Controls Analyst II. In this role, you will support Valvoline's IT General Controls functions and assists in performing risk assessments, user awareness and education, audit support, and regulatory compliance functions (focus on Sarbanes-Oxley [SOX]).
The IT Controls Analyst II works with Information Technology, Information Security, Internal and External Audit resources, and the business to support process documentation and review, reporting and analytics, and developing and maintaining the appropriate records and requirements related to controls execution, etc.
The IT Controls Analyst II coordinates with IT and business controls team and corporate accounting to identify, develop, and maintain a suite of appropriate IT Controls that support the organization's overall Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR).
The IT Controls Analyst II will assist the ITGC Manager in Project Management oversight by leveraging relevant tools and techniques as applicable
How You'll Make a Difference
- Assists the company's ITGC program by supporting the company's ICFR program, collaborating with relevant stakeholders as necessary
- Provides subject matter expertise for evaluation and testing of all IT controls and acts as a liaison between audit and business personnel. Collaborates on identified program deficiencies from internal and external resources, determines appropriate mitigation strategies, and evaluates residual risks
- Acts as liaison between audit resources and business and/or IT personnel. Evaluates identified deficiencies from internal and external audit resources and coordinates the performance and review of IT Control activities
- Supports company's risk management program by assessing potential risks associated with third parties, including cloud-specific, and ensuring compliance with defined policies, procedures, and external regulations (focus on SOX).
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, business, accounting, finance, or a related field with relevant professional certification(s), such as CISA, CIA, CRISC, CRMA, CISSP, preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in IT, Audit, Controls, Compliance, and/or Assurance preferred.
- Experience assessing and applying regulatory requirements in a professional setting preferred.
- Experience with controls and information security frameworks and standards as well as risk management processes is preferred.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of various compliance and regulatory areas (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, and SOC)
- Understanding of concepts such as: control frameworks; information security and security governance; risk assessment and management; change management; and identity and access management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver quality work product in a timely fashion in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Ability to exercise good professional judgment
- The ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
- The ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
