Job description
As a Software Engineer, you will be a vital member of our delivery team, focusing on building and maintaining scalable backend services that facilitate the seamless exchange of healthcare data. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop modern, distributed microservices that integrate with the Epic EMR system and utilize interoperability standards like FHIR and HL7. Your work directly impacts our ability to provide value-based care by ensuring clinical data is accurate and accessible at the point of care., * Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Kotlin/Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ingest and transform complex clinical data.
- Implement unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality, reliability, and security.
- Use GitHub for version control, participating in peer code reviews to learn and share knowledge.
- Support the automation of software workflows using modern CI/CD and SecDevOps practices.
Requirements
Foundational understanding of building high-performance, distributed systems running in the cloud (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Professional experience or significant project work using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
- Experience using version control (e.g., GitHub) for collaborative development.
- A growth mindset and a desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment., Familiarity with Interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, or experience with HIE integrations.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
