Job description
We're looking for a talented IT Service Desk Technician to join our team in Washington, DC. This position will support a complex government client and will provide first-level IT support in a ServiceNow-based environment. In this role, you will serve as an initial point of contact for users, assist with common technical issues, and help ensure a positive support experience across a secure enterprise environment., * Respond to user requests via phone, email, portal, and walk-up support
- Create, update, and manage tickets in ServiceNow
- Troubleshoot password resets, account access issues, Microsoft 365 issues, and VPN connectivity
- Provide basic troubleshooting for workstations, printers, and standard software
- Escalate complex issues to higher support tiers as needed
- Communicate clearly with users on ticket status and next steps
- Document support activities accurately in the ticketing system
- Follow support procedures, SOPs, and knowledge articles
Requirements
Must be US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance., * High school diploma required; associate degree or technical training preferred
- 1+ year of IT support, help desk, or customer support experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a structured, fast-paced support environment
- Windows 11 and standard desktop support
- Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and Office
- Basic networking concepts and VPN connectivity
- Account support in Active Directory or similar identity systems
- ServiceNow or other enterprise ticketing platforms
- Remote support tools and basic troubleshooting workflows
Preferred Qualifications: CompTIA Security+
