Job description

The Network Tools Platform Engineer is tasked with designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing platforms and tools used to monitor, manage, and automate enterprise network infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability and scalability of network management systems and supports operations by integrating network telemetry, observability, and automation solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong networking fundamentals with expertise in monitoring and automation tools. Responsibilities o Design, implement, and maintain network monitoring and management tools platforms. o Support and administer tools such as Solarwinds, LogiSplunk, Nagios, LiveNX. - Develop and manage custom integrations, dashboards, and APIs between network tools and IT systems. o Build and maintain automation workflows for network provisioning, configuration management, and data collection (e.g., using Ansible, Python, or REST APIs). o Ensure availability, performance, and scalability of network tools infrastructure. o Collaborate with network operations, engineering, and security teams to define monitoring and alerting standards. o Manage data ingestion pipelines for logs, SNMP traps, syslogs, and streaming telemetry. o Create and maintain documentation, topology maps, and operational runbooks. - Participate in incident response and assist in root cause analysis through monitoring data and metrics. o Evaluate and recommend new tools or enhancements to improve visibility, automation, and efficiency. o Ensure compliance with security and change management policies.

Requirements

o Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field., o Minimum 7+ years of experience in network tools deployment and migration. o 4+ years of experience in Automation. o Hands-on experience with at least two network monitoring/management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetBrain, Splunk, Cisco DNA Center, ThousandEyes). o Solid understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs). o Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and data processing. o Experience with Linux system administration and API-based integrations. o Familiarity with cloud and hybrid network monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP). Preferred Skills o Project Management o Stakeholder Management Monitoring/automation certifications (SolarWinds Certified Professional, Ansible Certified Engineer, etc.).
