Job description

We are seeking International Working Student to join our Automation Runtime Systems Research Group in Princeton, NJ. The right person will have a mix of research experience in software engineering and knowledge of industrial automation systems to participate research projects in Siemens! The duration of this hire will be 6-12 months. We are considering sponsorship of J1 student visas.

The Challenge

During this internship, the person will experience the excitement and challenges of industrial research and be part of a world class team. This person will:

  • Conduct research topics on the industrial data and control infrastructure for the automation systems of the future

  • Work with Researchers and Software Engineers to build concepts and develop working prototypes

  • Produce fast prototyping, feasibility studies, specification, and implementation of product components

Requirements

  • Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline

  • Experience with 3D modeling tools and workflows

  • Experience in robotics programming

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude

  • Demonstrated ability working with python or another programming language

  • Capability for quick prototyping
