Job description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support a high-performing Agile delivery team. This is a senior-level role for someone who is proactive, confident navigating ambiguity, and comfortable partnering closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership. The ideal candidate is a true servant leader who can guide teams through complex delivery challenges while driving continuous improvement.

This role requires onsite presence in Denver at least two days per week, with a preference for additional in-office time initially to build relationships and ramp up quickly. Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and manage all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and demos
  • Support PI planning and quarterly prioritization sessions
  • Partner closely with Product Owners to prioritize backlog items and bugs, particularly during UAT
  • Proactively monitor and report on team health, velocity, and Agile maturity
  • Present metrics and progress PI over PI to leadership
  • Serve as a key point of contact for leadership and Release Train Engineers (RTEs)
  • Help clarify and refine Scrum Master and Product Owner roles and responsibilities
  • Coach teams through high-pressure releases and shifting priorities
  • Identify and remove impediments while managing expectations across stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master (senior-level only; no junior candidates)
  • Active Scrum certification (CSM or PSM required)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC and how development and testing teams function
  • Experience working in any Scrum framework; SAFe experience is a strong plus
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and navigate competing priorities
  • Comfortable saying "no," negotiating trade-offs, and operating in ambiguous environments
  • Strong relationship-building skills with Product Owners, engineers, and business partners
  • Proactive, curious, collaborative, and execution-oriented mindset
