Job description

CACI has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer, with a Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI) with a Poly to develop, test and field our operational systems. CACI is seeking an enthusiastic Systems Engineer with Linux experience for our Sarasota (FL) location. In this position, the individual will work with emerging technologies in the space domain awareness sector. We are focused on ground- and space-based systems that detect, characterize, and predict threats to national and allied space systems. You will work with a technically diverse integrated product team that develops software-based signals processing applications and systems. You will provide systems engineering expertise as a member of the integrated product team to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for system components and operations, including the opportunity to lead the team., * Provide systems engineering support across multiple phases of the systems engineering lifecycle to include technical planning, CONOP development, requirement analysis, system design, scheduling, system integration, verification and validation, training, cost and risk assessment

  • Provide end-to-end systems engineering in support of critical mission requirements
  • Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
  • Provide feedback to developers to assess and improve operational functionality
  • Lead integrated product teams to develop, test and deploy mission systems
  • Travel to unique and exciting locations

Requirements

  • Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and related experience in systems engineering
  • Must have CompTia Security+ certification or have the ability to obtain with 60 days of start date.
  • Basic to intermediate-level knowledge of industry systems engineering and test operating concepts, best practices, and standard procedures
  • Experience with Red Hat or equivalent system-based architecture
  • Competence in MS Office suite including Visio

Desired:

  • Experience using Spectrum Analyzers and Oscilloscopes
  • Experience and knowledge in network infrastructure, including VLAN segmentation, switching, and firewall management.
  • Ability to troubleshooting software on UNIX/Linux OS
  • Experience using system build automation tools: Satellite, Ansible, and Puppet
  • Experience working in a GitOps environment
  • Experience with Atlassian tools: Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration tooling
  • Polygraph

The proposed salary range for this position is: $55,100 - $110,100
