Job description
- Assist in software integration and testing under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Conduct basic software integration, system testing, and debugging in lab environments.
- Execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
- Participate in Agile software development practices and contribute to smaller tasks
- Analyze and resolve software/hardware interface issues during software integration.
- Document integration processes, test results, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and system traceability.
- Learn and apply programming and scripting skills in a controlled setting.
- Acquire domain specific knowledge in areas such as signal processing, resource management, hardware/software integration procedures, or electro-optical infrared systems
Requirements
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with high-level programming languages such as C++ or Java, or similar.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or bash, or similar.

Qualifications We Prefer:
- Familiarity with Linux and the command line interface.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Rational Clearcase.

- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with build systems such as Cmake
- Familiarity with software debugging and troubleshooting tools (e.g. gdb, Wireshark, tcpdump).
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
