Data Center Technician

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data center infrastructure. This role is hands-on and requires a strong understanding of hardware, cabling, and operational procedures to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient data center operations., * Prepare, stage, set up, and perform equipment startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) in accordance with documented instructions, checklists, standard protocols, and deployment guides.

• Perform post-deployment quality checks to verify proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in compliance with safety standards and Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying root causes and replacing faulty components following established procedures.
• Decommission hardware for standard changes and refresh activities (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) with minimal guidance.
• Follow established communication, reporting, and escalation procedures to ensure issues are raised promptly to Datacenter Technician Leads.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to deployments, changes, and incidents.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and related components.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior data center experience.
• Hands-on experience with rack-and-stack deployments and structured cabling.

This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
