Job description
- Develop and implement cutting-edge solutions with the DAC Solutions Team, focusing on training and onboarding strategic clients
- Manage project timelines effectively, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are met while adhering to business requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate closely with Tax Engagement teams and offshore developers to design automation solutions that enhance tax compliance processes
- Partner closely with Tax Engagement teams, DAC developers, and offshore delivery partners to scope automation initiatives, define acceptance criteria, and drive them from intake through deployment and adoption
- Create comprehensive documentation, presentations, charts, tables, and diagrams to support dynamic, standardized, and custom reporting packages for tax deliverables
- Design and optimize data transformation processes using Alteryx to meet complex tax technical requirements; streamline tax compliance and reporting activities to standardize processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders to ensure effective adoption of advanced tax technology solutions
Requirements
- Minimum five years of recent progressive experience in Information Technology program/project management and/or tax, ideally within a professional services firm or in tax areas such as partnerships, mutual funds, or securities transactions
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- CPA, ENR AGT (Enrolled Agent), MTX (Masters in Taxation), MBA (Masters of Business Administration), MS in Computer Science, or JD / LLM. In addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
- Core certification in Alteryx with proven experience in building analytic apps and macros
- Strong tax technical background with experience in partnerships, mutual funds, or securities/debt instruments; familiarity with industries such as real estate, financial services, hedge funds, private equity, credit, or oil and gas is advantageous Basic understanding of tax practice operations and the ability to leverage technology to enhance products and services, providing thought leadership and driving innovation; proficiency in basic Python is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing data processes/solutions tailored to tax technical requirements; excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
