Platform Engineer

• Consult on and lead complex platform engineering initiatives with broad organizational impact.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including advanced GitHub Actions.
• Establish and document golden-path repositories and standardized CI/CD patterns.
• Develop and promote Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates.
• Contribute to and collaborate on open-source projects such as Conda-Forge and Pixi.
• Evangelize DevSecOps and GitOps (EPLX) practices across engineering teams.
• Drive adoption of DORA metrics to measure and improve delivery performance.
• Collaborate with security, platform, and engineering stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Solve complex, multi-faceted engineering challenges requiring innovation and long-term thinking.

Experience: 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, supporting complex, enterprise-scale engineering initiatives.

Technical Skills:

• Demonstrable prior open-source contributions to Conda-Forge and Pixi Package Manager.
• Experience developing GitHub Actions and building CI/CD automation pipelines.
• 6+ years of Python development experience, including automation and scripting.
• Proven ability to establish CI/CD patterns, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates, and golden-path repositories.
• Experience promoting and implementing DevSecOps, GitOps (EPLX), and DORA metrics, with a focus on Conda-based Python ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps and SRE methodologies in large enterprise environments.
• Python expertise supporting machine learning workflows.
• Experience contributing to shared platform engineering standards across teams.
• Ability to influence engineering practices and drive adoption through enablement and evangelism.

The pay rate for this position is between $81.88 and $87.33 per hour. This is a contract position with a duration of 12 months. Further details regarding benefits will be provided to eligible candidates.
