Job description

Leidos is seeking a System/Network Engineer to support the AIMES mission in our Beavercreek, Ohio office., * Maintain and support Cisco Nexus switches and routers

  • Administer VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter environments
  • Perform Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration
  • Manage and maintain physical server infrastructure
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security compliance

Requirements

The AIMES Operations Team is looking for a highly motivated, versatile engineer to maintain and enhance our network infrastructure, virtual environment, and physical servers. This role is ideal for a "jack-of-all-trades" engineer who enjoys autonomy, technical ownership, and the opportunity to manage project infrastructure end-to-end., * Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of applicable experience. Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Strong hands-on experience with networking, virtualization, and system administration

Certifications (preferred but may substitute for degree):

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • CCNA and/or VCP certifications may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Windows system administration (Active Directory, Group Policy Objects)
  • Linux/Red Hat system administration
  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments
  • Physical server hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Veeam backup solutions
  • Server room operations and infrastructure maintenance
  • Experience writing and maintaining Ansible playbooks
  • Understanding of development build workflows (Jenkins, build pipelines, Conan, Artifactory)
