Job description

As the Associate Director, Data Onboarding, you will have the opportunity to lead meaningful work that improves how healthcare organizations use data to drive performance and outcomes. You will work alongside smart, motivated people who value ownership, transparency, and execution excellence.

Cedar Gate Technologies, an IQVIA business, is scaling fast, and our data onboarding function sits at the center of everything we deliver to clients. We are looking for a leader who is energized by complexity, ownership, and growth, and who wants to shape how healthcare data gets acquired, onboarded, and turned into actionable results at scale.

As the senior SME between clients, technology, and operations, this leader translates complex data requirements into executable plans and provides oversight across all data onboarding initiatives, including the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) program. The role requires setting vision, governing outcomes, and leading and developing a team of people managers, while driving operational rigor, risk management, and continuous improvement through complex implementations and escalations.

This is not a maintenance role. This is building the future of healthcare data

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own and govern the enterprise data onboarding operating model, including standards, decision frameworks, success metrics, and escalation mechanisms.
  • Set strategic direction for data onboarding initiatives, translating business and platform priorities into delivery expectations and operating plans.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise-wide frameworks, methodologies, and controls to ensure consistency, scalability, and risk management across onboarding efforts.
  • Provide executive-level oversight across all onboarding workstreams, ensuring alignment to PMO governance, delivery timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex data risks, cross-functional issues, and client-impacting decisions, driving resolution and accountability.
  • Oversee performance management through defined KPIs related to data quality, readiness, implementation integrity, and time-to-value.
  • Lead and develop a management layer of data onboarding and program leaders, including succession planning, capability development, and organizational design.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with third-party data providers to support enterprise data acquisition needs and operational reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement through operating metrics, retrospectives, and evolution of documentation, standards, and enablement materials.

Requirements

  • 7 or more years of progressive experience in healthcare data operations, analytics, implementation, or solution delivery,
  • At least 3 years of demonstrated leadership responsibility in a professional environment
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder delivery programs at scale
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data domains (e.g., analytics, population health, capitation, revenue cycle, or value-based care)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated success operating at both strategic and execution levels, including executive communication and frontline decision-making
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfort engaging with client and internal executives
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and operational management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related business tools

Preferences - Either Have or Can Learn & Develop

  • Prior experience with data acquisition from third-party data providers within the healthcare industry.
  • MBA or Master's degree from a top university
  • Experience mentoring or leading other managers in a professional environment
