Job description

The primary responsibility of this role is to design, configure, and support Siemens OpCenter solutions for manufacturing, quality, and logistics processes.

Reporting to the Siemens MOM Product Owner, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing IT department's objective to deliver a reliable and scalable MES platform for the Liberty battery plant.

This position is based in the Battery Plant in Liberty, NC. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location.

What you'll be doing

  • Configure and customize Siemens OpCenter to meet manufacturing and business requirements
  • Develop workflows, data models, and user interfaces within the OpCenter platform
  • Build and maintain integrations between OpCenter and ERP, PLC, SCADA, and other plant systems
  • Develop scripts, APIs, and data connectors to support system functionality and integration
  • Troubleshoot MES-related issues and implement performance improvements in production environments
  • Support testing activities, including unit and system testing of OpCenter functionality
  • Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

Requirements

Toyota's Manufacturing IT Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated OpCenter Engineer., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting MES platforms, preferably Siemens OpCenter
  • Experience integrating MES with ERP systems and shopfloor systems (PLC, SCADA)
  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., JavaScript, C#, Python)
  • Experience developing APIs or working with system integrations

Added bonus if you have

  • Experience with Siemens OpCenter modules (Discrete, Foundation, Quality, Logistics)
  • Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing environments
  • Experience with Mendix/Ignition or other low-code platforms
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environment s
