Job description
We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer that has strong expertise with Palo Alto to join our Insurance client on an initial 6 month contract.
You will be working on a migration from Zscaler to Palo Alto & this person will be adept with Strata Cloud Manager.
Experience with policy-based controls such as DLP, TLS inspection and SASE platforms (Palo Alto and/or Zscaler) is needed.
The successful candidate will have worked within complex enterprise scale environments and have a proven track record in Security over many years and be comfortable working with stakeholders across the business & pushing back when needed.
Key requirements:
- Strong practical experience in network security (Firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, zero trust architecture)
- Hands-on with security tooling (eg, Palo Alto, Prisma SASE, SIEM platforms)
- Solid experience with Git for version control and collaborative workflows
- Understanding of identity and access management (IAM), PAM/PIM solutions
- SSL/TLS decryption and inspection policy implementation
- Knowledge of cloud security ( Azure, or GCP)
- Strong troubleshooting and incident response capabilities
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for deployment and configuration
- Ability to build and automate secure infrastructure components
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for security automation
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and integration tasks
Please note this role has been deemed inside ir35 and you will need to work through an umbrella company if successful
The role can be based remotely but you will need to be UK based and able to attend meetings/workshops if required
