Backend Software Engineer Hybrid working 1-2 days per week onsite - Manchester £500-600pd inside IR35 | Start ASAP Please note: The interview will be held in-person therefore ability to commute to Manchester is essential. We're looking for a Software Engineer to join a high-performing Revenue Platform engineering team within a global, product-led tech environment. This is a backend-focused role where you'll help build and evolve core services that power large-scale pricing, revenue and transactional systems. You'll be working in a small, collaborative team where ownership, quality and communication really matter. What you'll be doing: Building and maintaining backend services and APIs Working across a 50/50 Java and TypeScript stack Designing and supporting cloud-based systems in AWS Writing clean, testable, production-ready code Collaborating closely with engineers through pair programming Supporting system reliability, scalability and performance What we're looking for: Strong

backend engineering experience Solid experience with Java and TypeScript Strong API development and system integration skills Experience working in AWS environments Comfortable with TDD and collaborative engineering practices Able to pick up new domains quickly and work in fast-paced teams Nice to have: React exposure (light front-end work) DynamoDB / Elasticache strategy knowledge Experience with distributed or high-scale systems This is a great opportunity for a backend engineer who enjoys working in modern cloud environments, solving real-world scalability problems and collaborating closely with strong engineering peers.
