Senior Technologist - Enterprise Platforms & Cloud (Contract)

Contract Length: 6 months Location: UK - based anywhere/Remote Sector: Retail Banking

We are seeking a Senior Technologist with deep knowledge of enterprise platforms and governance within a large-scale retail banking environment. This role is critical to delivering secure, compliant technology solutions while operating within strict regulatory and design governance frameworks. Key Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical authority across enterprise platforms and identity services
• Provide deep expertise across:

• Workday
• Active Directory
• PingFederate/corporate Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Bank-wide security policies and controls

• Navigate and manage internal governance processes, including:

• Security approval submissions (4-week SLA)
• DPIA and GDPR reviews
• Change freeze calendars
• CTO design board submissions and approvals

• Design and support AWS cloud architectures within a regulated retail banking environment
• Act as the on-shore liaison between UK stakeholders (People Technology, Digital Experience, CTO Office) and the India-based build team
• Ensure clear alignment between architecture, security, delivery, and regulatory requirements
• Communicate complex technical and governance concepts clearly to senior stakeholders

Required Experience

• Senior technologist experience within a retail banking environment
• Proven hands-on knowledge of Workday, Active Directory, PingFederate, and enterprise SSO
• Strong experience operating within security, privacy, and technology governance frameworks
• AWS cloud architecture experience in regulated environments
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable operating at pace in a highly visible, delivery-focused role
