Job description
In this role, the Network Engineer spends their day supporting enterprise network projects by working closely with network architects, senior engineers, and customer stakeholders. They provide deep technical input on designs, validate proposed solutions, and help guide tooling and platform decisions across the network environment. A significant portion of the day involves troubleshooting complex network challenges tied to Infoblox, Palo Alto, and Zscaler, ensuring services are delivered reliably and align with the overall design intent. They participate in technical discussions related to project planning, timelines, and budget considerations, often translating detailed technical concepts into clear guidance for decision-makers. The engineer is frequently customer-facing, joining meetings, interviews, and technical reviews to represent the network team with confidence and credibility. When issues fall outside the scope of project engineering or require sustained operational support, they coordinate handoff to the operations team while remaining engaged as a technical advisor.
Requirements
Must have:
- 7+ years senior-level network engineering experience (project-focused, not ops)
- Strong hands-on Infoblox experience (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
- Palo Alto firewall experience (required)
- Zscaler experience supporting enterprise network services Strong communication skills with customer-facing confidence
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
- Experience supporting large enterprise or global network environments
- Prior work partnering closely with network architects or infrastructure leadership
- Exposure to network security design and zero-trust environments
- Experience participating in project planning, technical evaluations, or budget-aware discussions Customer-facing or consulting experience where engineers are presented directly to clients
Benefits & conditions
$35/hr to $40/hr
