Job description
The IT Support position's responsibility will be to provide technical support to maintain the organization's computer systems, both hardware, services, and applications. This role will Identify, diagnose, and rectify users' issues as issues are presented., 1. Handling ticketing system support tickets - participate in answering phone calls to the support line and handling user submitted tickets will be primary responsibility.
- Participate in on-call rotation (once good command of the environment).
- Become technically familiar with all aspects of the infrastructure to assist where needed.
- Installing and configuring hardware and software, updates, and maintenance.
- Assist with server maintenance as assigned.
- Continue to investigate/develop programs/procedures to improve processes.
- As understanding grows - assigned responsibilities outside of handling tickets.
- Willingness to travel to other SteelFab locations to provide support as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience/certifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the IT field. Prior experience in tech support, desktop support or a similar role.
- Excellent customer service skills and eagerness/willingness to help.
- Self-starter with high initiative to improve, learn and grow. Strong overall technical skills and strong problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience with Windows OS, O365 and computer hardware. Good written and verbal communication.
Preferred: IT certifications are looked upon highly.
