Job description

We're looking for a hands-on Application Engineer with deep expertise in Rockwell PLCs and Studio 5000 to support cutting-edge building automation and facility management systems. This is a high-visibility, on-site role where you'll work directly with clients, lead commissioning efforts, and bring complex systems to life.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and develop control programs for BMS (Building Management Systems) using function blocks, scripting, and graphical tools.
  • Build and enhance Ignition SCADA (Inductive Automation) applications.
  • Lead on-site commissioning, startup, and system validation.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, field devices, and control systems during checkout.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful implementations.
  • Create intuitive graphical interfaces for end users.
  • Develop simulation tools and execute test scripts for system validation.
  • Perform QA/QC checks on PLC and SCADA code before delivery.
  • Deliver training sessions and provide post-deployment support.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Rockwell PLCs & Studio 5000.
  • Experience developing/updating Ignition SCADA projects.
  • Proven commissioning experience with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Solid background in PLC programming & industrial automation.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems (highly preferred / niche skill).

Nice to Have:

  • OSHA 10 Certification (preferred due to electrical environment).

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Industrial Controls / Automation., You're a proactive problem-solver who can work independently while collaborating effectively with teams and clients. You communicate clearly, adapt quickly, and take pride in delivering high-quality engineering solutions under tight timelines.
