Job description
We're looking for a hands-on Application Engineer with deep expertise in Rockwell PLCs and Studio 5000 to support cutting-edge building automation and facility management systems. This is a high-visibility, on-site role where you'll work directly with clients, lead commissioning efforts, and bring complex systems to life.

What You'll Do:
- Design and develop control programs for BMS (Building Management Systems) using function blocks, scripting, and graphical tools.
- Build and enhance Ignition SCADA (Inductive Automation) applications.
- Lead on-site commissioning, startup, and system validation.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, field devices, and control systems during checkout.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver successful implementations.
- Create intuitive graphical interfaces for end users.
- Develop simulation tools and execute test scripts for system validation.
- Perform QA/QC checks on PLC and SCADA code before delivery.
- Deliver training sessions and provide post-deployment support.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Rockwell PLCs & Studio 5000.
- Experience developing/updating Ignition SCADA projects.
- Proven commissioning experience with client-facing responsibilities.
- Solid background in PLC programming & industrial automation.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems (highly preferred / niche skill).
Nice to Have:
- OSHA 10 Certification (preferred due to electrical environment).
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- 4+ years of experience in Industrial Controls / Automation., You're a proactive problem-solver who can work independently while collaborating effectively with teams and clients. You communicate clearly, adapt quickly, and take pride in delivering high-quality engineering solutions under tight timelines.
