Design Engineer in Plymouth

Tomahawk Manufacturing is looking for a talented Design Engineer to join our Tooling Department and help design custom forming molds, tooling, and fill systems for a wide range of food processing applications. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with customers, engineering, and manufacturing to develop solutions for products such as hamburger patties, chicken patties and nuggets, formed vegetables, fish, pork, and other specialty food items.

You will design custom tooling solutions that meet customer requirements and manufacturing needs, create 2D and 3D SolidWorks models, assemblies, and BOMs, process tooling quotes and orders, and coordinate with manufacturing to ensure projects move efficiently from concept through production and shipment. This role requires close collaboration with customers and internal teams to deliver practical, high-quality solutions with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail., We are seeking someone with experience in SolidWorks, CAD, tooling design, mechanical design, or manufacturing engineering who brings strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, organization, and a high commitment to quality. An associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical design, or a related technical field is . A continuous improvement mindset and Lean manufacturing familiarity are valued.
