Senior Software Engineer

This role suits engineers operating at senior to staff level, comfortable owning systems, making architectural decisions and working with ambiguity.

• Build and scale backend services using microservices and DDD
• Design clean, reliable APIs and own them through to production
• Make real architectural decisions, not just implement tickets
• Own services in production, including performance, reliability and trade-offs.

AI is core to how this team operates:

Engineers actively use tools like Perplexity, Copilot or Cursor, and Claude day to day. This is about using AI to improve how you think and build, not just generate code.

Stack:

• Go (strongly preferred)
• Open to other bank-end languages e.g Python, TypeScript would be advantageous.
• REST APIs, gRPC, Kafka or similar messaging
• PostgreSQL plus NoSQL
• Docker, Kubernetes, cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• CI/CD, distributed tracing, observability

• 7+ years backend experience
• Strong system design and ownership mindset
• Experience running services in production
• Operating at senior to early staff level - you will not be expected to mentor or manage.
