PL/SQL Developer

Insight Global is looking for a highly skilled PL/SQL Developer with deep hands on experience building new database driven functionality to join one of our financial clients in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and delivers clean, reliable, high performance PL/SQL code without the need for hand holding. You'll be working with Oracle 19c in a private cloud environment, supporting financial technology applications contributing to new feature development and reporting solutions. The candidate will be working on building a brand new application from ground up. He/She will work on creating a rule engine that users can put their own business rules. This is a developer centric role, not a DBA position. • 10+ years of hands on PL/SQL development experience (flexible for exceptional candidates)
• Strong expertise in Oracle 19c, PL/SQL, and SQL performance tuning
• Experience leading a team (ideally mix of onshore/offshore) and demonstrated experience providing code reviews and mentoring across multiple agile teams
• Proven experience delivering new development, not just maintaining legacy database code
• Solid Oracle database development background (schemas, tables, indexing, constraints)
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in Oracle 19c/21c.
• Performance Tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL /SQL code.
• Experience migrating to CI/CD with SDM platform (Horizon/BitBucket /Artifactory/etc)
• Maintain re-useable development standards that help implement each solution and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs
• Ability to design and implement solutions independently and deliver high quality code with minimal oversight
• Agile methodology, JIRA story grooming execution

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI assisted development tools to improve productivity
