Job description

Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database environments * Monitor database performance and optimize queries and resources * Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning * Manage database security, users, roles, and permissions * Perform patching, upgrades, and migrations * Ensure high availability using RAC, Data Guard, or replication techniques * Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions * Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (Shell/Python) * Work closely with developers and infrastructure teams

Requirements

Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c/21c) * Expertise in SQL & PL/SQL * Hands-on experience with RMAN (backup & recovery) * Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard * Performance tuning and query optimization skills * Experience with Linux/Unix environments * Familiarity with OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) * Understanding of database security best practices

Preferred Skills: * Experience with Cloud (OCI / AWS RDS / Azure) * Knowledge of Exadata * Automation using Shell scripting / Python * Experience with GoldenGate (replication) * Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD processes
